Chausar by SWARI

The Chausar by SWARI is an ancient board game of India, known mostly for the game of dice played in The Mahabharat, and is known by various names like Parchisi and Indian Ludo.
This game board is made of recycled cloth, by women in a self-help group in Channapatna. The pawns are made in traditional Channapatna style, with wood and lac, while the dice is made of wood, raw and unpolished.
 
The game comes in a jute bag, along with a smaller jute pouch that holds the dice and the pawns. We have also included a rule card in this package to refresh your memories!
