The Owl Pen Stand by SWARI is a gorgeous, super glossy, pen stand that looks like an owl with hypnotising eyes and a protruding beak!
 
These Owl pen stands are made of wood, coated with lac (short for lacquer) that is mixed with natural vegetable colours, and it is this coating that gives these pen stands the glossy finish!
 
These pen stands are made in Channapatna, out of Doodhi wood (also known as rubber wood), by wooden artisans who're skilled at (and know very little else, except)  making beautiful things out of wood and lac.
